“Over the past two years, here at Maverick AV Solutions, we’ve been evolving our distribution model for audio visual solutions to embrace the new world of AV. New products and solutions have allowed us to develop our business by acquiring knowledge and modelling our value proposition towards a market where IT and AV converge.

“Microsoft was the first industry leading brand in the IT world that bet heavily on an integrated audio visual solution with the Surface Hub. Despite previous attempts, this was the time for successful implementation for two main reasons: the platform (in this case Skype for Business – the main tool used by 70% of companies) and the changing needs of businesses to build collaborative workspaces.

“Microsoft led the way for other major IT manufacturers such as Google, Logitech and more recently Lenovo and HP that see a business opportunity in the market.

“We now work with manufacturers such as Cisco, Barco or Crestron to distribute leading products for collaborative environments. All these new solutions allow us to expand our base of clients that diversify their business between the AV and IT markets.

“Our goal for 2018 is based on complementing our product offering with the necessary services for AV projects, including support for international projects and software licensing on a subscription basis through the StreamOne platform.

“Another key point is undoubtedly the evolution of the business model to an Optimise – AV-as-a-Service concept, where our customers can move to a variable cost model to take on new and larger projects. Tech Data-as-a-Service is our financial platform to offer this service within our vast product portfolio.”
